Horror Lurks Within. Innistrad is a horror themed Magic: The Gathering expansion set to thematically take place on the plane of Innistrad. Classical horror themes such as vampires, werewolves, graveyards and ghosts are explored with MTG appropriate touches such as blue cost zombies represented abominations of science unlike there black-cost reanimated brethren. Innistrad also introduces double-sided cards with a 'transform' mechanic to flip the card from one side to the other. In this expansion, the double-faces have a Sun and a Moon side. The long honored tribal mechanic is also extended with this set, applying it to vampires, zombies, werewolves, and spirits.
